Hybrid Object #3: "The Hewn"

Carved from a single block of solid cedar, The Hewn is shaped for both human seating and cat lounging. Its sculpted basin supports a relaxed sitting posture while naturally forming a gentle cradle where cats can curl up and rest.

The sweeping geometry reveals the natural grain of the cedar, allowing the material itself to define the character of each piece. No two forms are exactly alike.

Part chair, part sculpture, and part resting place, The Hewn invites people and companions to share the same object in different ways.

The Hewn is made to order. Please allow approximately 10 business days for production before shipment. This process allows each piece to be carefully prepared and finished before leaving our workshop.
